Glebe House resheeting and Solar panel installation Case Study

Phase 1 – Asbestos Roof removal
Phase 2 – Structural preparation

The existing fibre cement roof at Glebe House had reached the end of its life. The cracked and aged sheeting was in danger of releasing potentially harmful crysotile fibres and so it was decided to remove and dispose of it. Following the removal of the sheets the existing timber rafters were straightened & the timber purlins were replaced with steel.Plastisol coated profiled sheeting was fixed to the new purlins and closed with the appropriate flashings. A 10kw solar panel system was then fixed to the structure whilst ensuring the roof was still fully weathered.
